Viking Helmet - Coppergate
The Coppergate helmet is directly inspired by the famous helmet found in York Coppergate. Buried in a wood-lined pit along with antler, stone, glass and iron, this remarkable discovery was located close to the remains of Viking Settlers. The Coppergate helmet was soon reconstructed by the British Museum and brought back to life.
This reproduction has been authentically crafted from 18-gauge steel and worn brass, down the to the crest which reads IN NOMINE : DNI : NOSTRI : IHV : SCS : SPS : DI : ET : OMNIBVS : DECEMVS : AMEN: OSHERE : XPI , this translates to "In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and of the Spirit of God, let us offer up Oshere to All Saints. Amen". Finishing details include a leather chin strap with an adjustable buckle and aventail chainmail which hangs at the rear.

Collect in store
- Collections can be made from the shop at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds during opening hours.
- You will be notified via email once your order is ready for collection.
- Once you receive this notification, we will hold your order for 7 days.
- Please bring your order confirmation and ID that matches the name on the order.
- Limited short stay, road-side parking is available on Clarence Road or Citipark operate the nearby Leeds Dock multi-storey car park. Please note that parking charges may apply.

All international orders will be sent by courier. The estimated delivery time for European deliveries is 7-10 working days and 10-14 working days for rest of the world, however this is not guaranteed.
